Meet Amelia Schweitzer, a Paralegal at Hansel Law. Amelia supports four lawyers in our busy civil rights practice. With a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from the University of South Carolina to compliment her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Hawai’i, Amelia brings nearly five years of experience in the legal field to help our clients.

Prior to joining Hansel Law, she worked for several years at a major medical malpractice firm, and in immigration in the DMV.

Amelia is a proud mom and enjoys spending her free time checking out locally owned coffee shops, outdoor markets, and museums with her son, Jaden, here in Baltimore, and her birthplace, Washington D.C.
Meet McKenzie Whitley, a legal assistant at Hansel Law.  In this role, she provides valuable support to attorneys and paralegals by aiding in the discovery process, including records requests, review, organization.  She also preserves claims with the State.

McKenzie supports our class action practice, marshalling tens of thousands of pages of data and seeking justice for thousands of people at a time.

McKenzie graduated from Prince George's Community College and Towson University.

McKenzie has her sights set on a career in civil law, with particular interests in Civil Rights and Medical Malpractice.

Rachel Henry

Legal Assistant

Meet Rachel Henry, a legal assistant at Hansel Law.  Rachel is the client’s first point of contact, serves our class action practice, and supports the attorneys with discovery, trial preparation, and correspondence.  Rachel runs bi-weekly meetings to discuss potential new clients.

Rachel studied Biomedical Illustration at Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, where she learned to hone her skill.

Rachel has a passion for prison reform and Civil Rights, and has made an effort to be more active within her community by going to protests and standing with those who are fighting for change.

Ultimately, she wants people to feel heard, understood, and protected.

Thomas Pulley

Law Clerk

Thomas supports our  civil rights litigation pertaining to police brutality and corrections misconduct, constitutional law, and criminal law.  He will join us as an attorney upon passage of the Bar.

Thomas graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2025, where he served as the Vice President of the UB Students for Public Interest, and as Chief of Staff to the Student Bar association.  He also practiced as a Student Attorney and successfully obtained dismissal of all charges alleged against his clients.  Thomas received a bachelor's degree in law and psychology from Western Connecticut State University in 2021.  Prior to his receiving his education, Thomas worked as a commercial fisherman on the Alaskan Bering Sea.
